The non-profit charitable association “Αγκαλιά” was founded in 1998 with the aim of supporting pregnant women who belong to a vulnerable group (abused, abandoned, economically weak). Since then, it has supported more than 3.000 families and 3.050 children, providing essential goods for raising a child, such as milk, diapers, food, baby items and baby equipment. The association’s support is not only limited to material goods, but also extends to moral and psychological support with countless telephone calls to mothers and pregnant women, as well as information events. The number one goal of “Αγκαλιά” is to provide free care services and to ensure the conditions for a pregnant woman to carry and deliver her child safely, hygienically and with dignity, and to raise it in a healthy family environment. With a multitude of social programs, “Αγκαλιά” assists in the proper and smooth upbringing of a child even up to the age of 10.
AR-CON Hellas ABEE supports the commendable work of this charitable association and donated 100 baskets of the well-known Italian company Plastimark that were used in a bazaar organized by the association at Metro Syntagma on 4-5 of December. We sincerely hope that “Αγκαλιά” will continue its work with the same will in a time when the upbringing of children is becoming more and more demanding.
